Mangaluru: Efforts go in vain to salvage damaged boat from sea in Ullal

Mangaluru, May 24: Though immense efforts were made to salvage the boat which had hit boulders put at sea-shore to prevent sea erosion in Kodi, Ullal, the attempts went in vain as the boat was damaged completely after hitting the boulders.

It is said that the boat is completely damaged and the efforts to salvage it, did not yield any results.

It may be recalled, after the boat hits the boulders at around 1.30 am on Sunday, 10 fishermen had a lucky escape in the tragedy.

The boat 'Aznan' belongs to Farook from Bolar and Ashraf from Mukacherry in Ullal.
