Mangaluru: Senior litterateur, researcher Prof B M Inchlagodu no more

Mangaluru, May 24: Senior litterateur, researcher of Byari literature, journalist and retired lecturer Prof B M Inchlagodu (84) died in a private hospital in the city on Sunday May 23.

Inchlagodu, who was residing at Attavara Nandigudde in the city, is survived by wife, four sons and a daughter. He was a lecturer at Moodbidri and after his retirement he lived in the city. He had written many books and a research work on Byari language.

Inchlagodu had done deep study in the field of Byari culture and literature. Even till his last days he was involved in studies and guided many young researchers.

Mortal remains of Prof B M Inchlagodu is kept at mortuary of Yenepoya hospital. According to family sources, the mortal remains will be taken to his native place Inchlagodu and last rites will be performed there itself before the Zuhar (noon prayer) namaz.
