Puttur, May 14: Three horses, which were allowed to graze without any control by the roadside at Uppinangady suddenly attacked the vehicles moving on the highway. As a result, two two-wheeler riders suffered serious injuries on Thursday May 13.
Saleem and Muhammed Rafique, residents of Matha, were injured in the incident. When the two were moving on a motorbike, a horse suddenly rushed to the road and attacked the motorbike. The people on the bike fell down and suffered serious injuries. Both were admitted into a private hospital in the city.
A horse which entered the house of Snake Zacharia near Subrhamanya Cross on the night of Wednesday, was about to attack the children in the house. When Zacharia tried to shield them, the horse kicked him in the hand and injured him. Previously, it is learnt, only one horse that was soft-natured was moving about in the area, but now three horses have appeared. One of them is aggressive and chases people away. The locals said that those who own the horses have created problems by allowing the horses to go free without any control.
