Surge in Covid-19 cases: Karnataka govt postpones SSLC examination

Bengaluru, May 13: Karnataka primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar on Thursday, May 13 announced that the SSLC Examination scheduled to begin from June 21 to July 5 has been postponed in view of the spike in Covid-19 cases in the state.
 
The revised schedule will be decided after the second wave of Covid subsides. It may be recalled that due to the rise in Covid-19 cases, schools in the state had urged the government to postpone the SSLC examinations.

Meanwhile, minister Suresh Kumar has asked the students to not get disheartened and continue with their studious preparations.
 
The state government will announce a fresh date after monitoring the Covid-19 situation.

    Conduct SSLC Exams with stict covid guidelines, nothing will happen, give masks ,gloves to everyone , make social distance compulsory, run buses on for students who come from ruler area , those who unable to come within city limit let them come from Auto ,

    CBSC has cancelled SSC exams and many of states have followed the central board directives. I don't understand why Karnataka is still adament on going ahead with exams

    Humhne 1st std.bachhe ko pooch...do you like it to stay at home or go to school. He told me i like to be at home. Childrens forgotten school and now become much lazy. Some NGO's/Volunteers worked hard earlier to admit childrens to school. Now again same task...percentage is more to readmit.
