Moodbidri, Aug 12: The Infosys Foundation donated Rs 10 lac to students from families affected by the floods in Uttara Karnataka, who are studying at Alvas College, here on Wednesday August 11.
Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Murthy assigned Infosys Mangalore head Gopi Krishnan and regional manager Dheeraj Hejamady to distribute Rs 20,000 each to 50 students and this was done in a function held at Alvas College on Wednesday.
Alvas Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva presided over the function.
Alvas Pre-university College principal Prof Ramesh Shetty and Alvas Education Foundation administration officer Dr G H Prabhakar Shetty were also present on the occasion.
Infosys Foundation chairperson Sudha Murthy was inspired by Dr Alva’s humanitarian deed of building houses for the flood victims of Uttara Karnataka.
