Bengaluru, May 9: In a revision of its earlier order that had advised the people cancel all the marriage ceremonies scheduled for May 15 onward, the state government has allowed such functions to be held with the participation of 40 persons including family members and close ones within homes.
The government said in its order that the marriages cannot be performed in marriage halls or other auditoriums. This revised order was issued by principal secretary in revenue department, Manjunath Prasad.

The order stated that within Bruhat Bangalore Municipal corporation limits, permission has to be obtained from the joint commission, and in other districts, from the tahsildars.
Permissions can be sought by enclosing invitations along with applications. Passes will be issued on the basis of the aplplications, and only those holding the passes will be allowed to participate in the marriage ceremonies, the order said.
