Mangaluru, May 7: The city police commissioner N Shashi Kumar, took rounds at Kulai check post on Friday May 7.
The district administration has brought into force stricter rules during the lockdown. Time given to procure essential goods has been cut off by an hour, which is now 6 am to 9 am and the weekend curfew will also be imposed from Friday night to Monday morning.
In this regard, the police are taking stringent action and seizing vehicles which are found to be moving about unnecessarily.
During the rounds conducted by the police commissioner, it was noticed that several two- wheelers and four-wheelers were moving unnecessarily without any genuine reason to justify their presence on the roads.
Some of the vehicles also were found to have been pasted with tags, which were found to be not genuine. The police warned them and took the tags out, and a few vehicles were also seized in the process.
