Udupi: Cooperation of people necessary to break chain of Covid - MP Shobha Karandlaje

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (HB/EP)

Udupi, May 6: BJP leader and Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje has called for stringent lockdown amid the surge in Covid cases in the district.

Speaking on the situation she said, “Covid cases are increasing day by day. It appears that the partial lockdown is not effective to contain the spread of infection. A stringent curfew like the one that took place last time should be implemented. Only the purchase of essential commodities should be allowed,” stressed the MP.

“Temple programmes are being held even now. The cases will continue to rise if people behave the way they do now. The ones who arrive from outside the district should be compulsorily subjected to Covid tests. This includes travellers arriving from Mumbai and Bengaluru. I have directed officials to undertake RT-PCR tests immediately. Home quarantine should be made compulsory,” she said.

“Strict monitoring should be done in order to break the Covid chain of infection,” said MP Shobha Karandlaje.

All public gatherings should have been totally banned long ago, including places like pubs, bars, theaters etc! What we are seeing now is the big gift given to us by our brilliant administration by allowing kumbh mela, & holding election rallies with no objections from ECI due to obvious reasons!

MP, stop blaming people - your tribe of politicians caused the virus to spread - take the blame. your top priority now is to organize needed medical supplies and makeshift facilities - in schools, colleges, temples, marriage halls to allow centralised treatment. you are conveniently not doing your job, only spouting unwanted wisdom.

PM briefed about 12 states about Covid. here is the reaction from Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. “Adarniya Pradhan Mantriji ji ne phone kiya. Unhone sirf apne mann ki baat ki. Behtar hota agar wo kaam ki baat karte aur kaam ki baat sunte” “The Jharkhand CM’s angst was palpable,” said sources close to CM. “PM Modi did not ask anything on the condition of the state and on resources and what all the state needed. The state has been struggling to get the required medicines. He just went on and on. This led the CM to write this tweet,” the source said. Jai Modiji and his blind bhakths.
