Mangaluru, Apr 28: In an attempt to foster translational research and communication for advances in multi-disciplinary fields, St Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), Mangaluru, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with NITTE University Technology Enabling Centre (NUTEC), a unit under NITTE (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru.
The MoU was signed by Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, director of SJEC and Dr Alka Kulkarni, registrar of NITTE (Deemed to be University) on April 5 in the presence of the team from NITTE that included Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, vice-chancellor, Dr MS Moodithaya, pro-vice-chancellor, Dr Iddya Karunasagar, advisor for Research, Patents & IPR, Dr Indrani Karunasagar, director of projects and DST-NUTEC, Dr Sudheer M, HoD of Mechanical Engineering at SJEC, Dr Dayakshini, HoD of Electronics & Communication Engineering at SJEC and Dr Mamatha Girish, associate professor-ECE at SJEC.
The main aim of the MoU is to develop an appropriate scientific relationship between both parties to enhance collaboration and cooperation towards knowledge enhancement by providing support and advice for developing multidisciplinary research in the field of Bio-Medical, Agri-Biotech, Environment and Technology while jointly organizing conferences, webinars, symposia on research, projects and patents etc.
