Mangaluru, Apr 28: Days after a man posted a derogatory post against Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi on Facebook (FB), Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy (KBSA) on Tuesday, April 27 sacked its nominated member.
The sacked member is identified as Nafisa Misriya. The register of KBSA sacked her, following a letter by Rahim Uchil, chairman of Beary Sahithya Academy.
A person named Luqman Adyar had posted a derogatory statement against PM Modi. In this regard, BJP leader Faizal Assaigoli filed a police complaint at Konaje police station demanding strict action against the Luqman.
KBSA chairman Rahim Uchil, speaking to Daijiworld said, "Nafisa Misriya was the nominated member of the academy. Her husband had posted derogatory comments against the Prime Minister of the country, which cannot be accepted at any cost. Hence, I have written a letter to the registrar to sack her from the post of the nominated member."
