Kasargod, Apr 7: Unidentified assailants launched a brutal assault with weapons on Srijith Paraklayi, district vice president of Yuva Morcha, late night on Tuesday April 7. The incident took place at Paraklayi, Abalattara police station limits.
Srijith was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru.
The gang which attacked Srijit, fled after the assault. As the gang had inflicted serious injuries on both of the legs of the victim, a surgery was performed on Srijith, on Wednesday morning.
BJP has alleged the involvement of CPM in the assault. Abalattara station police personnel have registered a case and are investigating.
