Panaji: Man dies during water sports training

Panaji, Apr 3: A man from Calangute was brought dead to a private hospital after he suspected drowned while undergoing training in water sports in Dona Paula. At around 11 am, the police received a call and immediately rushed to the hospital and conducted the panchanama, an official said.

The police reported that the 41-year-old male was undergoing training conducted by a water sports institute, however, the cause of death is yet to be ascertained. The police further said that the deceased was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim where the post-mortem would be conducted.

A case of unnatural death has been registered at Panaji police station, and further investigation is underway, police said.
