Bengaluru, Apr 3: The woman in the sleaze CD case, in which former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi is allegedly involved, attended the SIT inquiry on Friday, April 2 also and was interrogated by the sleuths for more than nine hours. On the other hand, Ramesh Jarkiholi did not attend the inquiry citing illness. There is a possibility that Ramesh will attend the inquiry on April 5.
Responding on the subject, lawyer for Ramesh, Shyamsundar said, "Ramesh Jarkiholi is ill and that is why he will not be attending the inquiry for another two days. I have informed the same to the SIT officials. SIT officials have said that they will send notice. Jarkiholi will not neglect investigation and inquiry related to the case. As he has attended inquiry two or three times, Ramesh is not scared of getting arrested."
Meanwhile, the woman attended the SIT inquiry on Friday also. In the midst of these developments, DGP Praveen Sood said that it is not right to ask for the arrest of the accused in the beginning of the case itself.
The woman, who arrived to the technical cell at Adugodi in the city under police protection, at 11 am was subjected to inquiry till 8 pm in the evening.
K N Jagadeesh, lawyer for the victim girl said, "Statement under IPC section 161 of the victim is being recorded by the SIT. I have come to know that the accused has not attended an inquiry citing ill health. I had come here thinking that the accused might attend the inquiry. The victim girl has asked me to take up her case."
DGP Praveen Sood said, "SIT is formed in order to hold an independent inquiry into the case. They have to be given proper opportunity and time. It is not right to criticize the SIT at this stage of the inquiry. It is not right to ask for the arrest of the accused in the beginning of the case. If the accused is not arrested even after completion of the investigation, it can be questioned."
A few of SIT’s questions to the woman:
*Who instructed you to video record the private scenes in the CD? Why did you make the video?
*What is the reason for giving the video to journalist Naresh Gowda? Do you know who made the video viral?
*Apart from Bengaluru, where else have you spent time with Ramesh Jarkiholi in person?
*Are you familiar with the people who were blackmailing Ramesh Jarkiholi?
*You might have made the video viral yourself for the sake of money no?
*After the video went viral, where did you reside outside Karnataka? Did Naresh and Shravan accompany you? Who gave you financial assistance to go underground?
*Whose voice is there in the audio and video?
