Mangaluru, Apr 1: Four people have been injured in an accident between a scooter and a bike at Ullal. Two people who were critically injured among the four people have died without responding to treatment. The duo was admitted to Wenlock hospital in the city.
Riders of the two-wheeler, Kinya resident Ramanna (50) and Madoor resident Sathish (34) were killed in the accident. The other two, Madoor residents Benson and Narendra are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Deralakatte.
Ramanna and Sathish on the scooter were returning from the Kandana Katte fair on March 27 at 10 pm when the bike with Benson and Narendra collided with them. Though all the four injured were rushed to a private hospital in Deralakatte, two of them whose condition was critical were shifted to Wenlock hospital later. One of the riders, Ramanna died on March 28, while the other rider Sathish succumbed to his injuries on March 30. Both of them were daily wage workers. Ramanna is survived by his wife and three children. Sathish was unmarried.
A police case in this connection has been registered at Naguri traffic police station.
