Bengaluru, Mar 28: Former chief minister and leader of opposition Siddaramaiah on Sunday March 28 slammed the Karnataka government and the police for not being able to trace the woman in the sleaze CD involving former BJP minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, and asked if she was like Nirav Modi or Vijay Mallya 'hiding abroad'.
Taking to Twitter, Siddaramaiah said, "The police dept & @BJP4Karnataka govt are responsible for pledging the pride of Karnataka in front of the whole country in the CD case. It is shameful that police could not trace the CD victim even after 20 days (sic).
"The CD case is turing into a political blame game with new developments each day. It can reach logical conclusion only when the victim reaches out to police & give her version (sic)," he said.
"The victim in the CD is constantly releasing her statements to the media through videos, reaching out to her parents & interacting with her lawyers. But the police is unable to track her. What does this mean? Is the police playing to the tune of @BJP4Karnataka govt?" he questioned.
"The videos released by the victim clearly shows that the girl does not have confidence on both the State govt & the police dept. It looks like she is of the opinion that police are involved in the conspiracy against her. Home minister @BSBommai should address this concern," he added.
"This CD case is a classic example for the breakdown of administrative & police machinery in the State under @BJP4Karnataka govt. What does it mean when police says that they are unable to trace the girl? Is she like Vijay Mallya or Nirav Modi hiding abroad?" Siddaramaiah said.
