Two from Mangaluru tied up in Ramanagara, thrashed for raising a ruckus

Ramanagara, Mar 25: Small time rowdies who were fighting on the road, attacked people who questioned their behaviour with lethal weapons. The incident happened at Soorappanahalli near Marur Handpost in Magadi taluk on March 23.

Sudarshan Pai and Avees from Mangaluru were quarrelling by the side of the road after parking the car by the side of the main road near the said village. Muddahanume Gowda from Soorappanahalli advised them not to fight. This gave rise to verbal friction. When Ramanjaneya, son of Muddahanume Gowda, rushed to the rescue of his father, another verbal altercation resulted. The rowdies then brought sabre from the car and attacked Ramanjaneya.

People from the area and those moving that way in their vehicles then tied up both Sudarshan Pai and Avees to a tree before beating them black and blue. Kudoor police who rushed to the spot after coming to know of the incident, dispersed the crowd and registered complaint against the two.

Muddahanume Gowda and Ramanjaneya got admitted into a private hospital at Nelamangala Sudarshah Pai and Avees are being treated in the government hospital at Magadi.
