Mangaluru, Mar 24: A woman has filed a complaint in the city (south) police station here, duly alleging that her husband has been forcibly kidnapped by some people who have kept him in illegal confinement and got him married to a Muslim lady.
A photograph of Gangadhar (62) from Bolar here in the company of a lady has been enclosed to this complaint. Gangadhar happens to be a builder and wholesale merchant. As per the requirement of his business, he keeps visiting different places. Two of his children are staying abroad, Gangadhar's wife stated in the complaint.
She said that Gangadhar, who went away on business trip, has not returned since the last week of January this year. "When we called on his mobile phone, he received the call and spoke on February 8. Thereafter he is not available for contact on mobile phone. Friends informed me that my husband was forcibly married to a Muslim lady on March 15 and also provided evidence", she explained. Therefore, Gangadhar's wife, Yashoda, has urged the police to find out the whereabouts of her husband and initiate suitable legal steps against the wrongdoers.
Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Sharan Pumpwell, alleged that Love Jihad by using ladies with the specific aim of trapping men from other religions is being carried out. He has asked the police to investigate the case with diligence and punish the guilty.
