Mangaluru, Mar 23: Actor Prabhu Mundkur inaugurated 'Aloysian Annual Fest 2021' here at Mother Theresa Peace Park in St Aloysius College campus on Tuesday March 23.

Addressing the gathering, Mundkur recalled his days at St Aloysius College in 2006. “St Aloysius College taught me a lot. I made use of all the opportunities that came my way. I urge students to keep pushing your limits and take calculated risk. I will also shoot my upcoming movie ‘Murphy’ in this campus. I am co-directing the movie.”

Fr Melwin Pinto, rector, St Aloysius Institutions said, “It is not easy to get into movies. Prabhu Mundkur took the risk and today he has a lot of projects. Students need to pursue their dreams like him.”

Principal of St Aloysius College Dr Praveen Martis, cultural secretary Paloma Rodrigues, Richard Gonsalves, John Edward D’Silva and others were present.

Fest coordinator Dr Ishwara Bhat S welcomed the gathering, Student council president Gavin Abner Pinto rendered the vote of thanks. Royston Lasrado and Carissa Rego compered the event.

Here is an Old Aloysian commenting. I am not only A PAST PROUD ALOYSIAN but perhaps the oldest surviving student. If I was what I was and if I achieved any success in life, it is because of the EDUCATION THAT I RECEIVED AT THE HANDS OF THE JESUIT FATHERS. It is always a pleasure for me to retrace my steps to MY ALMA MATER. We have a wonderful team now with the combination of Father Rector and Father Principal sharing their thoughts and views before taking any important decisions.
