Bantwal, Mar 23: The 48 km stretch of the national highway 75 between B C Road and Addahole has finally been allotted to Hyderabad-based KNR Constructions for Rs 1,100.88 crore. The 65-km four-laning of the highway between B C Road and Addahole, which was initially allotted in 2017 got stranded because of forest land acquisition and other issues, and the contracting company had walked away as a result after doing haphazard work. Now, the tender process for the 48-km road between B C Road and Periyashanti has been finalised. This is inclusive of a six-lane flyover at Kalladka.

Out of the 65 km which was taken over for development, 17 km has been kept out of the tender process this time. Before the work begins, land acquisition process which is pending at certain places, has to be completed.

He said that agreement and some other things are yet to be complied with, duly adding that the work includes building of a six-lane flyover at Kalladka.
