Udupi: Viral dialogue 'Thantre Ba Thant' reverberates again

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (JD/SP)

Udupi, Mar 13: The phrase, 'Nee Thantre Ba Thant', which also was the name of a group in a social website, has been echoing through this district again after a gap of a few weeks. This dialogue which was delivered by a political leader at a programme, had created controversy in Tulunadu for some time.

This phrase has been used again at Kallianpur near here. Boards containing these words have been found on the electric poles located by the roadside on the widened road between Santhekatte to Kallianpur. At the bottom of these boards, the word, Mescom, has also been found.

The road in question had been widened recently. Some of the electric poles standing on both sides of the roads wherever they were not shifted, have remained at the same places. Some miscreants seem to have taken advantage of this situation and hung boards on them.

Now, Mescom has been engaged in shifting these poles.

In this situation the 'Thantre Ba Thant' is perfect. Road is widened and electtric poles were kept as it is. Does this government department works for the people or for themselves....????? Poles are to be moved first and then the road has to be widened. Whoever is the official in charge for this work has to be put behind bars.

Administration must suspend the incharge of Mescom in that area. Negligence of duty at the time of widening the road. If administration takes action then only other area Mescom officers will wake up. In Mangalore also many places the electric poles are in between footpath. Problems for pedestrian.

He He......Now, Mescom has been engaged in shifting these poles. This is only way to wake them up!!! Shifting poles is rocket science to Mescom! There is absolutely no coordination between departments!

Usually mescom want only profit. They do not want expenditures. Every time there is a new minister in the cabinet and they may have to pay a big amount of bribery for getting their approval for a price hike.
