Bengaluru, Mar 12: Days, after the Karnataka government formed a seven-member (Special Investigation Team) SIT to probe the scandal involving former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, five persons have been detained in connection to the case.
Reportedly, it is said all the five detained by SIT are journalists. The team headed by IPS officer Soumendu Mukherjee has begun the probe from Friday morning.
It is learnt that the prime suspect in the case is absconding a day after CD was released through the borders of Andra Pradesh.
Allegedly, it is said that the video was uploaded from Bengaluru, after hacking a Russian server. The concerned is absconding as well.
Out of five, it is alleged that the first person had given the CD to Dinesh Kallahalli. The second person is the one who edited the CD. The third is the person who has written the script. The fourth person was detained from Aldur of Chikkamagaluru. And the fifth person is from Ramanagara who handed over the CD along with the first person.
While five people have been detained, the two prime suspects are absconding.
