Mangaluru, Mar 12: Chief district and sessions judge of Dakshina Kannada Justice B Murlidhar Pai inaugurated the two-day annual police sports meet here at police grounds on Friday March 12.
Addressing the gathering, Pai said, “In a sports meet, it is very important to have team work, team spirit, cooperation and attitude of encouraging your teammates. The advantage of sports meet is that you develop leadership qualities, physical strength and competitiveness.”
As many seven police groups from Mangaluru city police commissionerate took part in the sports meet.
Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar welcomed the gathering. DCP Hariram Shankar rendered the vote of thanks.
Barke police inspector Jyothirlinga Honnakatte and assistant sub inspector Harishchandra Baikampady compered the programme.
DCP Vinay Goankar was also present.
