Panaji, Jul 7: Goa’s Number 1 radio station, ‘Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM’ organized an all Goa inter-school elocution competition to create environmental awareness.

It consisted of on-air and on-ground multi-city activities across Panjim, Margao, Vasco, and Mapusa from Thursday July 1 to Wednesday July 7.

The event was presented in partnership with Anand Bose Constructions in association with GHRSSIDC, department of Science and Technology, Goa  Rotary  Club of Margao, Pepsi, Lilliput,  Kala Academy, Big G, La Paz Gardens and St Britto’s High School.

The competition drew in students from across Goa expressing viewpoints and suggestions on how we need to recycle, reuse, reduce and be responsible citizens of our environment at home and society at large.

Ethel Da Costa, station head, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, Panjim, states, “Students of today are the leaders of tomorrow. There is a need for schools as much as local citizens to endeavour that we look at our children as the rightful owners of our environment, by ensuring that we hand over a safe planet to the young generation.
