Mangalore, Jul 1: A programme to hand-over the position to newly- elected committee of Kanara Builders' Association was held at Taj Manjaroon Hotel here on Monday June 28. The members of the association were unanimously elected last month.
The Kanara Builders is one of the popular associations in the city. It is almost about to complete its 25 years of existence. The association comprises of the builders, contractors and material suppliers. It has affiliated with All India Builder’s Association and in all has 165 members.
Ganesh Rao, head of Karavali College was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he said that people should not maintain rivalry in any form of business or work instead should support each other and live in unity.
The function was presided over by Rang Pai, the newly-elected president. P M A Razak, the former president of the association, Rohan Monteiro, vice president, Oswald D’Silva, former treasurer, Felix, All India Bulider’s Association’s Mangalore division head, Sudesh Kumar, newly appointed general secretary, Sudhesh Kumar, treasurer Zameer Ambar were present on the occasion.
