When you can pay 100 rupees a beer or 500 rupees for slice of fried kingfish, whats wrong in paying 100 rupees a litre for petrol? I think government should bring it to Rs. 100 immediately and hold it at that for two months before an increase again!

Are u ok? Globally prices of oil are dropping . Then why are we increasing. Reliance is lobbying for fuel hike. Other companies want to lower prices. You cannot compare food to fuel. These are two different aspects. Only beneficiaries are the Oil Barons like Ambani and the Oil Companies. If govt reduces excise-tax on liquor, prices will come down. How will the poor and middle class travel? Do you think everyone eats kingfish and drinks overpriced beer..

Shankar, Do you know the poverty rate in India, our number in the global hunger index? Do you know that 1% of people hold 72% of wealth here? Do you know that with increase in fuel rates, prices of all commodities shoot up thus pushing the poor to sleeping hungry? Such comments lack any logic & an insult to the poverty stricken citizens!
