Panaji, Jan 26: The Calangute police arrested two persons with the possession of Narcotic drugs worth nearly Rs 2 lac.
The police responded to a tip-off that a drug peddler would be coming to Calangute market to deliver drugs to a customer, the police kept vigilant watch and nabbed the peddler.
Advut Ghode (21) was caught red-handed with 1.2 kg ganja. He is a resident of Khed.
In another similar raid, a native of West Bengal was nabbed with one kg of ganja worth Rs one lac at Dolphin circle in Calangute when he had come to deliver it to a customer. He is identified as Shabbir Ali Shah (24).
Both were booked under the NDPS Act.
