Panaji, Jan 22: Chief minister Pramod Sawant said that his government is planning to generate about 10,000 employment by next year. He was speaking on the occasion of Vivekananda Yuva Sammelan at Canacona on Thursday, January 21.
Sawant urged the youth to take self-employment by availing various government schemes and further said that due to the pandemic even God would not be able to provide them employment. He asked the youth to be self-reliant.
Speaking on the occasion, deputy speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes urged the youth of Canacona to support the government for the development process.
BJP chief Sadananda Tanavade, former MLA Siddharth Cuncolienkar, party vice-president for south Mahesh Naik, Canacona BJP chief Nandip Bhagat were present among others.
