Mangaluru/Udupi, Jan 14: As per the Dakshina Kannada health bulletin the district reported 28 fresh coronavirus cases on Thursday raising the tally to 33,337. Out of these, 423 cases are currently active.

A total of 5,38,736 samples have been tested. Out of which 5,05,399 are negative.

As many as 17 people were discharged on Thursday, taking the total number of recoveries to 32,182.

A total of 732 deaths have occurred so far.

Over 23,495 mask violations were reported in the Dakshina Kannada district and Rs 24,84,440 in fines have been collected by the authorities.

Udupi

The coronavirus tally in the district has risen to 23,205, including three fresh cases on Thursday. Out of these, 52 cases are currently active.

Over 3,18,160 samples have been tested so far, of which 2,94,955 have turned out negative.

As many as three patients were discharged on Thursday. The total number of recoveries has climbed to 22,964.

A total of 189 deaths have occurred so far.
