Daijiworld Media Network - Panaji (SD)

Panaji, Jan 5: Due to the south easterly winds prevalent near the coast, a few parts of the state received light rainfalls on Sunday, January 3. For the next five days light rain and thundershower is expected in isolated places, the India meteorological department (IMD) Panaji predicted.

"The winds turning south easterly near Goa and also upto Mumbai and south Konkan changed the weather conditions, triggering cloudiness," Shambhu Ravindren, Scientist from IMD said.

Although the temperature was in the normal range but moisture is likely to increase due to cloudy conditions. Meteorologists are keeping a close watch for any kind of changes in the weather conditions.

"The conditions may change after a couple of days and updates will be provided," Ravindran said.
