New Delhi, Dec 24 (IANS): E-commerce startup ANS Commerce plans to foray into the international market in 2021 with the expansion of its operations in Middle East, South Asia and North America.
In a statement, the company said that it aims to expand its warehousing capacity by four times and shift its primary focus to the FMCG and food segment with regards to its partners and clients by the end of 2021.
"The fast-growing platform also plans to expand its footprint by venturing into the international market starting with the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and North America. In the domestic market, the company looks to launch its warehousing operations in Kolkata and 3-4 other locations," it said.
It noted that 2020 has been a decidedly challenging year in almost every aspect. While several businesses experienced a slump due to the pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns, the year has been surprisingly good for some sectors. For full-stack e-commerce startup ANS Commerce, 2020 has been a year of noteworthy growth, said the statement.
"With the pandemic providing strong tailwinds that created an inbound interest across the client spectrum, ANS has observed a 20 per cent month-on-month growth. With an accelerated growth rate, the full-stack platform's annualised Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) currently stands at $50 million, having doubled from what it was during the previous quarter," it said.
With plans to launch more SaaS tools focussed on SMB e-commerce enablement for marketing and logistics, double its team size by providing meaningful professional opportunities, continue profitability with '3x' growth, increase GMV by '3x' from its partner brands, and add 100 more brands, ANS Commerce is all set to step into the new year.
Vibhor Sahare, CEO and Co-Founder of ANS Commerce, said: "This year has been a rollercoaster ride not only for us but for the entire e-commerce segment. Although the pandemic created a monumental impact on business, especially during the first few months, it has left us with several lessons in its wake."
"As we gear up to step into the new year, we look forward to strengthening our positioning in becoming the number one e-commerce enabler in India by onboarding more partner brands, developing more/better products, driving value to our clients, and making the most out of situations as a company in an enjoyable fashion," Sahare said.
