In spite of the prevalence of restrictions under section 144 in the city, activists of an organization had planned flash protest near the State Bank. They protesters were asked to go away, but they had remained adamant. The police caned the crowd after which stones and glass pieces were hurled at the policemen. The disturbances spread to Bunder area. Thousands of people gathered at Azizuddin Road and Beebi Alabi Road and pelted stones. time pass Govts in our state and country - Govts that pay more attention to cows, love jihad and entitlements of MLAs/MPs rather than burning issues that need immediate solution.

Why immpose section 144 for peaceful protest. Protest is a constitutional right. The DGP of Bangaluru was reprimanded by high court for imposing section 144 to subvert protest. Why Bangaluru police did not impose section 144 when they received numerous calls about inflammatory post on FB when clearly such an act will incite rioting. Deliberately ignoring root causes will only lead to more problems.

Ajay bhai, the father of our nation, conducted the ideal peaceful protests, in South Africa and in various regions of our nation.... He never resorted to violence, did not create " Dance of Death " spreading anarchy across our land... What happened in Mangaluru, was a diabolic carnage, let loose by sworn enemies, to destabilise and destroy the soul of India !!!!

H Almeda, I agree with you. This was not a peaceful protest. If justice was delivered fast and the stone pelters punished quickly, the recent incidents of attack on police at New Chitra and Tannirbavi would not have occurred. Some fear as well as respect for the police and administration has to be created in the minds of the people,so that they behave well.

पूलिसवाले हाथ पर हाथ थामे नहीं बैठे थे. They were compelled to impose Section 144 after getting information of deliberate, planned violent protests. No culprit should go unpunished and no innocent should suffer.
