Bengaluru, Dec 6: State assembly session is scheduled to begin from Monday, December 7. But the aspirants of ministerial posts, who were waiting for the cabinet expansion are devastated as minister R Ashok on Sunday December 6 said that no discussion with regard to the cabinet expansion has taken place so far. He also clarified that there will not be any development in this respect on Monday also.
R Ashok further said, "BJP high command has not given the nod for cabinet expansion. Everything will be decided by the central BJP leaders. CM Yediyurappa has already given the list of aspirants for ministerial positions to the high command. But they have not yet given the green signal."
It was believed that state BJP in-charge Arun Singh would hold a meeting with regard to cabinet expansion with CM Yediyurappa on Sunday. However, no discussion to that effect took place. Minister Ashok clarified that Arun Singh will have discussion only on the growth of BJP in the state and also the performance of the government.
Ashok also said that CM Yediyurappa has to take the consent of the central leaders. So he will take final decision only after having discussion with the BJP high command.
Responding with regard to the winter session of assembly which is slated to start on December 7, minister Ashok said, "We will get ready to face the opposition only if there is one in the state. Kumaraswamy has already said not to believe Congress. Congress and JD(S) are at loggerheads. Congress is alone now. There is no need for us to get ready to face Congress."
Ashok also said that they are going to hold session in Vidhana Soudha itself as going to Belagavi will incur more cost on the state exchequer. In future, session will be held at Suvarna Soudha at Belagavi, informed the minister.
"We are bringing special act for Bengaluru. That will be passed in the assembly session on Monday itself. If the act is passed in assembly its status will be entirely different. We have taken expert opinion on holding elections as per law. We will proceed as per that only. Our intention is to create more wards in BBMP. So we have made 243 wards," said Ashok with respect o BBMP elections of Bengaluru.
People who believe in Congress which oozes poison will be disastrous, ridicules minister R Ashok
Bengaluru, Dec 6: "Congress party is a kind of poison. Anyone who drinks it slowly will also die and anyone who drinks it more also will die. Congress poisoned JD (S) a little more," said minister R Ashok reacting to the statement made by former CM Kumaraswamy that he his political image got battered due to Congress.
Ashok further said, "Kumaraswamy has spoken from his heart. Congress is a party that vomits poison. The very people who were close to Kumaraswamy injected poison into him. When BJP formed government with Kumaraswamy during 2006-2008, his status was high. But Congress tortured him. The destiny of those who believe in Congress is disastrous.
"Congress will get eradicated from India. In future only BJP will rule the state as well as the country. BJP will be in power for the next 20 years. We will uproot the Congress from the remaining states in India and instill BJP governments in them.
"BJP is a party that never goes back on its promise. Earlier, we had given 20 months of power to Kumaraswamy as per the promise made. But Congress assured him of power for five years and brought him down within a year. Congress is a party that oozes poison. Yediyurappa is CM now. He will continue as CM till the tenure gets over. Now BJP does not require any inside or outside support or agreement from any party."
