Mangaluru, Feb 11: Renowned writer Stany Bela's short story collection, Kimoo, was recently launched during Daiji Dubai's silver jubilee celebration at Bendur St Sebastian Hall in Mangaluru. The event was attended by notable figures, including Melvyn Rodrigues, convenor for Konkani Sahitya Akademi New Delhi; Dayan D’Souza, convenor Daiji Dubai Literary Forum; Walter Nandalike, founder, Daijiworld media; Stephan Mascarenhas, writer and founder, Ian Care Foundation, Kinnigoli; and Vincent Pinto, in-charge Daiji Publication, who jointly unveiled the book.
Kimoo is a compilation of 16 short stories addressing various social issues. Written over a span of 10 years, these stories were originally published in different Konkani periodicals and online literary platforms. Stany Bela is known for his straightforward narrative style and unique approach to contemporary social issues, making him one of the most sought-after writers in the Konkani language.
