Bengaluru, Dec 6: The Board of Technical Examination has decided to conduct inquiry against 47 students who allegedly committed malpractice during the diploma semester examinations held recently.
Respective educational institutions, to which these students belong, were given instructions by the college and the technical education department, to get written statements from the erring students with regard to their malpractice.
However, some students have still not given any written statement accepting or denying their improper behaviour during the examinations. Now the board has directed them to give written statements by December 8.

Instructions have also been given to superintendents of the respective examination centers and the students concerned to appear for inquiry by the malpractice committee of the board on December 10.
The department has also stated that during the inquiry if the guilt is proven, the quantum of punishment will be announced based on the seriousness of the offence.
