Shimoga, May 19: “I have a cordial relationship with the state Governor, and during my meeting with him, talks were held in a harmonious environment. There is no difference of opinion with him. The media has reported the details wrongly,” claimed state Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa.
He said that he is hopeful of settling the issue of the rift created between minister Janardan
Reddy, and the Governor, amicably.
Yeddyurappa claimed that the BJP-supported candidates have cornered over 60% of the gram panchayat seats that went to the polls. He expressed happiness at the fact that the candidates supported by his party could make inroads into the Congress and JDS bastions in Mandya and Mysore regions. He said that a state level convention is being organized on June 19 for all the elected candidates for educating them about their duties and responsibilities.
“The said convention will be attended by the Swamiji of Chitradurga Bruhanmutt and Dharmastala dharmadhikari, Dr D Veerendra Heggade, for guiding the elected representatives,” he explained.
