Mangaluru, Nov 10: The district BJP held celebrations here on Tuesday November 10 at PVS Circle, after the party took an unassailable lead in Bihar Assembly elections and bypolls in Karnataka.
Speaking on the occasion, MP and state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said, “As expected, BJP are in lead in Karnataka bypolls at RR Nagar and Sira constituencies. People have blessed BJP, by looking at the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration. Chief minister B S Yediyurappa’s vision for development and leadership needs to be strengthened more.
“BJP will work as per the expectations of the people. People of Bihar, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh always supports BJP. Despite the Modi’s criticism by opposition, people will support Modi and BJP,” said Nalin
Mangaluru MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, district zilla panchayat president Meenakshi Shanthigodu, vice president Kasturi Panja and others were present.
Udupi
The BJP in Udupi celebrated the party's victory in the by-elections of Sira and RR Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion Mattar Rathnakar Hegde, president Coastal Development Authority said, "Under the leadership of state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel and with the great efforts of our party workers we have won these elections. Along with the Deepavali festival, this victory is also being celebrated."
Keeping the state guidelines in mind, bursting of firecrackers was avoided during the celebrations.
Uday Kumar Shetty, Mangaluru divisional charge Raghavendra Kini, president Udupi Development Authority and other leaders of the party were present on the occasion.
