Mangalore, May 5: Through a release, the district deputy commissioner of police has enforced one-way traffic in several city roads in view of the ongoing road works there, as follows:
Vehicles can move from Hampankatta to Avery Junction on Falnir Road. Vehicles are barred from moving towards Hampankatta from Avery Junction on this road.
Vehicles are allowed to move from Bunts Hostel to Mallikatta but vehicular traffic from City Hospital towards Bunts Hostel has been banned.
On Kadri Park Road, vehicles can move from Bejai towards KPT Junction. However, bus and other heavy vehicles have been barred from moving on this road from Padua and KPT Junction.
Vehicles are permitted to move from Hampankatta on Navbharat Circle/PVS Circle Road, but no vehicles can move towards Hampankatta from Navbharat Circle on this road, a release from Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner said.
At the same time, in view of the ongoing concreting work at A B Shetty Circle, temporarily, the following changes have been made:
Buses going to State Bank from Old Clock Tower have to move on the right side of U P Mallya Road on one way. Vehicular traffic from Hamilton Circle towards A B Shetty Circle has been banned. Vehicles coming to A B Shetty Circle from Mangaladevi, Pandeshwar etc., should take left turn at Nehru Circle and reach Hamilton Circle through Rosario Junction. Vehicles going towards Mangaladevi from Hamilton Circle should move via Rosario Road.
As the road is under repairs, vehicles can not move towards A B Shetty Circle from Pandeshwar and Rosario areas, informed a release issued by the city deputy commissioner of police.
