Mangaluru, Nov 4: State executive meeting and core committee meeting of the BJP are slated to be organized in the city on November 5. The city has been extensively decorated for extending a warm welcome to the chief minister (CM) and other dignitaries who would be taking part in these events.

The BJP executive meeting is being organized in the city after a gap of two decades. Dakshina Kannada district BJP office at Kodialbail has been illuminated with colourful lights. All the main roads and prominent circles in the city have been decorated with festoons and BJP flags. Hoardings welcoming the chief minister and senior party leaders have sprung up everywhere.

Ten sharp beam lights have been installed atop huge buildings at Kadri, Kottara, Ladyhill, Pumpwell, Light House HIll etc. These lights provide beams of lights in circular motion. Saffron and green colours of the BJP flag have been mixed with these lights which look very attractive.

CongressYouth Leaders like Mithunda should take initiative and garner supporters to counter this. All Congress leaderhs, voters and supporters should be on streets shouting slogans and highlighting the burning issues of DK and Ktaka. Come on guys! Its no use being internet warriors.

Instead of wasting money on CM’s visit they could have done some patch work for major city roads in the heart of the city.

Today BJP is the largest political party in the world and richest party in India. There's no dearth of funds in the party. If they spend taxpayer's money, the opposition should see to it. What is the opposition doing?

My moot point is what is the source of money for any govt other than taxpayers money!

Nazareth bhai, the Grand old Congress party is in a deep coma in a permanent ICU !! With no visible movement, apart from few minority dominated pockets, the ailing netas, along with their cadres are totally demoralized !! Even their dubious marriage with the JDS has hit the rocks and has ended in a bitter acrimony !!! Wonder what resistance, physically and a mentally charged organization can offer against the BJP juggernaut ????
