Washington, Nov 4 (IANS): Polls in the two US states of Indiana and Kentucky have closed, becoming the first ones to shut after voting ended for the US presidential election.
Besides the two states, polls will also close shortly in Georgia, South Carolina, Vermont and Virginia, the BBC reported.
Trump is geared to win in Kentucky, South Carolina and Indiana, also the home state of Vice President Mike Pence.
Georgia remains a major battlegrounds state that can make or break either Trump of his Democratic rival Joe Biden's fate, said the BBC report.
A record 100 million Americans voted early and tens of millions more lined up to cast their ballots at polling places across the country on Tuesday in one of the most-anticipated presidential elections.
