Mangalore, May 2: Manipal Group introduced its new service, ‘Manipal Home Care’ in three places, Mangalore, Manipal and Bangalore, simultaneously on Friday April 30. The scheme was unveiled on the 112th birth anniversary of the late Dr T M A Pai, founder of KMC Group of Institutions.
In the city, local MLA, N Yogish Bhat, symbolically inaugurated the scheme. On this occasion, Dr Lakshman Prabhu spoke about the life and achievements of the late Dr T M A Pai, who was a statesman. At Manipal, the scheme was inaugurated by retired chief secretary of the state government, Sudhakar Rao.
Dean of KMC, Maj Gen (Retd) Dr G Rajgopal, explained about the salient features of this scheme. Manipal Home Care works under Manipal Health Systems, the biggest healthcare management group in Asia, in which the needy get services at their homes. The ‘Homecare’ units equipped with facilities for intra vascular drip administration, injections, blood pressure testing, blood testing, changing of dressing, monitoring health, bath, bed making, back care, feeding through tubes etc., is available to the residents of Mangalore, Bangalore and Udupi cities.
