Bengaluru, Nov 1: Department of Public Education issued instructions to all teachers to attend the Rajyotsava celebration on November 1 and attend school from November 2. The government had earlier announced interim holidays for teachers in the wake of Dasara festival, which got over.
Neither the education department nor the government has taken out any order with regards to the starting of schools. Vidyagama scheme also is held up temporarily. The teachers have urged the education department to clarify what they need to do in schools.

The education department on its part gave clarification and instructed the teachers to record the progress of students who have participated in the Vidyagama scheme and their shortcomings in learning. Attending school by teachers will also help in concentrating specially on the weaknesses of students once the schools begin.
The education department has also asked the teachers to carry out works related to the studies of students including teaching study method and material required for teaching.
There is a possibility of the commissioner of public education holding video conference with senior officials and district level education officials on November 2 with regards to the restarting of schools.
