Mangalore: Police Constable Arrested for Forging Documents

Mangalore, Apr 30: A probationary police constable of Mangalore rural police station was arrested on charges of creating fake documents using a sub-inspector’s signature on Friday April 30.
The arrested has been identified as Rajesh, resident of Ramakunja in Uppinangady. He was in probationary service as a constable at Mangalore rural police station. He was entrusted with the verification of passport certificates.
The special branch staff found the fake documents with sub-inspector (SI) Prakash K. There were three fake documents found during the investigation.
Meanwhile, sources in the police department said that he was not involved in corruption but as the documents were missing from his possession for several days it led him to resort forgery. He was afraid to produce it before the SI due to a delay of several days.
Kadri Police arrested him based on the complaint by the sub-inspector.
