Udupi, Apr 28: James Wilson Ammanna (67), a well-known cricketer and retired officer of Syndicate Bank, breathed his last due to cardiac arrest at his residence in Kannarpady here on Monday April 26.
James was unmarried. He is survived by an elder sister and a younger sister. He had played cricket as a member of Syndicate Bank Manipal team for 35 long years. He also had been a Ranaji Trophy player for the state. His cricket skills had become evident at a very young age, and because of this talent, Syndicate Bank had offered him a job.
After retirement, he had been teaching the budding cricketers the nuances of this game.
