Kasargod: Police Unearth Heavy Explosives at Manjeri

Kasargod, Apr 23: The police have traced heavy explosives from a fertilizer-selling building and a godown at Manjeri, here.

With regard to this, the police have arrested fertilizer seller Abdul Rahiman (42) of Melkam Todumugattu and his assistant Abdul Muneer (20). Case has been registered against both. 

The police have seized 3,000 kgs of ammonium nitrate, 195 detonators and 60-metre-long fuse wire from the godown. The investigation has revealed that the explosives were brought from Tamil Nadu.

    Manjeri is not in Kasaragod. Manjeri is in Mallapuram district.

    Ammonium Nitrate is fertilizer(dual use, also explosive), if rest of stuff found is true it could be terror related.

    Benefit of doubt goes to defense, not prosecution..., however this does not look good.

    Oh my god!!! 3,000 kgs of ammonium nitrate, 195 detonators and 60-metre-long fuse wire. That is enough to wipe out entire our coastal region. Good work by Police department. Now what the govt will do? Will they book the terrorists and punish them or else show simpathy that they belong to minority community?
