Bangalore, Apr 18: State government has decided to convert Mangalore-Hassan Highway into six-lane.
Speaking to presspersons, public works minister C M Udasi said that the stretch is part of 4,000-km-highway that has been decided to be taken up for upgradation. Centre will implement the project, while the state government will co-operate by making available land through acquisition, he said.
The project to be executed by National Highway Authority of India will entail a cost of approximately Rs 8 crore per km.
