Panaji, Mar 30: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has completed all arrangements for a total of 17,708 students to appear for the March 2010 Secondary School Certificate examination, which commences from March 31.

The SSC exam will be conducted in 23 centres, including Bicholim, Canacona, Curchorem, Cuncolim, Quepem, Mapusa, Marcel, Margao, Mangueshi, Panaji, Pernem, Pilar, Ponda, Sanguem, Shiroda, Siolim, Tisk, Dharbandora, Valpoi, Vasco, Navelim, Porvorim and Mandrem, and end on April 10.

Meanwhile, the examination for the technical papers is being held on March 29 and 30. In all, 15,716 students will appear for all subjects, while 1,192 students will appear for the subjects in which they have failed during previous years. A maximum of 1,905 students will appear at Mapusa centre, while a minimum of 234 students will appear at the Sanguem centre.

GBSHSE sources informed that all examination material, including the question as well as answer papers, have already been dispatched to the examination centres. "Information about seating arrangements has already been passed on to the students, and the same is put up on the notice boards of the respective examination centres," the Goa Board sources pointed out.
