Davanagere: Patient dies en route - Ambulance driver abandons body by roadside

Daijiworld Media Network - Davanagere (SP)

Davanagere, Aug 14: In an inhuman gesture, the driver of an ambulance, noticing that a patient he was carrying in his vehicle for advanced treatment had breathed his last on the way, went back after depositing the mortal remains of the patient by the roadside. This incident happened at Madanabavi in Bonnali in the district on Thursday August 13.

The deceased has been identified as Doddappa (70), a resident of Arabagatte village. He had got himself admitted into the government hospital at Honnali at 11 am on Tuesday as he was unwell. As the doctors recommended him to be taken to Shivamogga for advanced treatment, an ambulance had been arranged.

Doddappa passed away when the ambulance was nearing Madanabavi. The driver thereafter unloaded the body, left it by the roadside and drove away his ambulance back to Honnali.

The villagers who came to know about the inhumane incident, held protest and demanded for the arrest of the ambulance driver. Taluk medical officer, tahsildar and other officials visited the spot.

Might be he id government employee!
Once they get govt payroll they act like governors,
there are cases we need to grease the palms of Govt watchmen to allow us to visit patients at hospitals otherwise they have multiple reasons to avoid visitors.

Roshan Rodrigues Mangalore, afraid?then why he has chosen this job?Would he also place his relatives body somewhere in jungle where animals could fall on it,or relatives not knowing where the person is?Simply carelessness, and on wrong place to do his duty? No excuse what he has done.A punishment must be carried out.cancel him from duty.Such persons are not capable of carrying out a medical duty.A warning for next one.May the soul of this deceased person rest in Heaven.Body was kept on road side as a ware ,.Not to excuse.
