Mangaluru, Aug 13: Mangaluru police commissioner in a press release dated August 13 has warned against offensive posts in social media channels which aim to disrupt religious harmony.
Further, the police commissioner maintained that the violators of such crime will be booked by the cybercrime police department.
He also stated that suitable legal action will be taken against people who insult, criticize or hurt religious sentiments and post or spread such posts in social media.

In the wake of these riots that took place in the state capital, the commissioner advised the people to be very cautious before posting anything on social media.
