Mangalore, Mar 18: The department of Human Resources, Shree Devi Institute of Social Work will organize a two-day state level confluence on ‘Recession to Revival- What Next?’ at the college conference hall here on Saturday March 20 and Sunday March 21.
P Tamil Vanan, chairman, New Mangalore Port Trust will inaugurate the confluence. Dr Jacintha D’Souza, principal, School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore will be the guest of honour. A Sadananda Shetty, chairman, Shree Devi Education Trust will preside over the inaugural session
The event will be attended by the experts in different fields of HR who will try to focus on various issues concerning the field and come out with new ideas that will help the HR in various corporate establishments.
Dr Paul Aquinas, professor, Justice K S Hegde Institute of Management, Swapna Shetty, AGM,Human Resources, Lamina Suspension Products Pvt. Ltd., Mangalore, K G Umesh, head, Human Resources, Himalaya Drug Company, Bangalore, Guruvayurappan P V, AVP and head, Human Resources, Omega Healthcare Management Services Pvt Ltd., Bangalore, Girinarayanan, director, Human Resources, Lineage Power (India) Pvt Ltd, Bangalore will be the resource persons for the programme.
In addition to the technical sessions, there will be a interactive session where the participants can interact with the resource persons, clear their doubts and present their views as well. The programme also felicitate exchange of ideas between the experts, upcoming HR professionals and the students who are all set ready to enter their chosen professional field.
The Valedictory programme will be held on March 21 at 3.30 pm. P A Jose, deputy. general manager, Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL-ONGC), will be the chief guest. Dr KG Parashuram, head, department of Social Work, SDM College, Ujire and Dr Mohan Singhe, lecturer, Mangalore University will be the guests of honor. Maina S Shetty, secretary, Shree Devi Education Trust will preside.
