Muscat, March 17: India Fraternity Forum – Karnataka Chapter, Muscat, on occasion of Seerathunnabi, had organized Sauharda Sangama, a three-day programme on 11th, 19th and 25th of February 2010. Different competitions for kids and youngsters were conducted as part of this event.
February 11: The first day of the event was organized at Al-Hikmah Educational Institute, Rex Road Ruwi– Muscat. It started at 7.00 pm with the welcome speech, delivered by Yusuf Mukka, and concluded at 10.00 pm. Around 40 kids from different parts of Karnataka had participated in Islamic Nath, speech, Qirat, quiz, memory test and games competitions. Event coordination, distribution of prizes and gifts were handled by Noor Mohammed Padubidri.
February 19: The event on the second day started at 4.30 pm at the same venue, with welcome speech by Yusuf Mukka. The programmes came to an end at 9.30 pm. The programme, in continuation of the earlier one, comprised competition in senior Quran Hifz recitation, speech by junior and senior, seniors essay writing, seniors quiz and memory test game. Gifts were presented by Abdul Razak Uchila, who came from Dubai to attend the function.
On both these days, the events were coordinated by Riyaz Ahemd Basroor and Mohidin Sastan.
February 25: Closing Ceremony was organized at Al Masarath Party Hall in CBD, Ruwi, Muscat. The programme started at 7.00 pm Quran recitation by Abdul Rahman Palimar, after which, presentations by the winners and best participants of the earlier events held on 11th and 19th February 2010, were held.
Toufiq Ahmed from Dubai , Aslam Pasha (manager, RAZAZ Engineering Consultancy) Sayyed Akbar, president SKMWA Muscat, Monabba Abd-Ur-Rahman, Muscat . Mohammed Ibrahim Athradi, president of DKSC – Muscat , Abdulla TP, president, Central Committee – IFF Muscat and Abdul Hameed , president of IFF Karnataka Chapter - Muscat, were present as chief guests.
Traditional Duff programme was performed by Riyaz Karnad and his team. The Duff presentation enthralled the audiences. Prizes were distributed by all the guests to the winners and the participants of the events. The programme concluded with Swalath and dinner.
Toufiq Ahmed delivered an address on the subject of reality and facts of humiliation of Muslims, and about the need to stand united. Aslam Pasha thanked the organizers of the event and promised continued support for IFF.
Sayyed Akbar appreciated the audience and urged them to attend such programmes in great numbers in the interests of the long term welfare of the Muslim community. Monabba Abdurrahman recalled his childhood, when he had spent several days, attending Milad-un-Nabi programmes.
Mohd Ibrahim Athradi mentioned that all the welfare groups were working within the framework of Islam and that they need to be supported. Abdul Hameed deliberated on various activities of IFF and the progress achieved by it in the recent years in the Gulf region.
